Jozef Niemiec
Position: Confederal Secretary, ETUC
Jozef Niemiec is Confederal Secretary of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) since 2003 and responsible for social protection, the disabled, regional policy and economic and social cohesion, internal market, and services of general interest.
He is member of NSZZ Solidarność since 1980, from 1992 to 2003, he was member of the National Commission, its Secretary from 1998 and Vice-President from 1999 to 2002.
From 1998 to 2001, Mr Niemiec was member of the Consultative Committee reporting to the Minister Plenipotentiary, responsible for integration into the European Union.
