EU Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility
Marianne Thyssen is a Belgian politician for the Christian Democratic and Flemish Party (CD&V). She currently serves as European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs, Skills and Labour Mobility. She first became Member of the European Parliament in 1991 and has since been re-elected 5 times. During her time at the European Parliament she was a member of different Committees such as Committee on International Trade and Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection. In 2018 she became leader of the CD&V party.
